The Researcher Workbench is Now in the Beta Phase

The All of Us Research Program launched the beta phase of the Researcher Workbench today. Read the official announcement from All of Us CEO Dr. Josh Denny.

The Workbench is a new platform that contains deidentified, individual-level participant data, including electronic health records, survey answers, and physical measurements. Within the Workbench, researchers can use a suite of custom tools to create, review, and analyze cohort data. Visit the Research Hub website to learn more about our methodology for curating participant data and the Researcher Workbench tools.

During the beta phase, researchers with NIH eRA Commons accounts may apply for access if their institutions have a data use agreement in place. Right now, any U.S.-based academic, nonprofit, or health care organization can enter into our Data Use and Registration Agreement

We released several new resources to the Research Hub website:

  • We’re in Beta: Learn what to expect as part of the Researcher Workbench beta phase.
  • Data Use Policies: Find out more about acceptable uses of All of Us participant data.
  • Publications: Discover published work by other researchers based on All of Us participant data.
  • Research Projects Directory: View more information about researchers’ workspaces and their work with the All of Us participant data.

We extend a warm welcome to researchers interested in exploring the Researcher Workbench. We want to design this platform with you, to make it the best resource it can be. Your comments and suggestions are central to that effort. Go to ResearchAllofUs.org to find out more and get started.
