COVID-19 Participant Experience Survey
The coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) is having widespread and wide-ranging effects on All of Us participants and their communities. All of Us created the COVID-19 Participant Experience (COPE) survey to learn more about the way the pandemic is affecting people’s lives, particularly their mental health. The survey included questions about social distancing, general well-being, mood, stress, and more.
The first COPE survey was offered May 7, 2020. More surveys went out in June and July, and stayed up until late September. A shorter version of the survey went out in November and December 2020, as well as February 2021.

Behavioral Risk Factor Surveillance System (BRFSS)
Year of Original Source
2016
Brief Description
The Behavioral Risk Factor Surveillance System (BRFSS) is an annual national health-related telephone survey that was established in 1984. Each year, data is collected on approximately 400,000 adults across all 50 states about health-related risk behaviors, chronic health conditions, and use of preventive services. The BRFSS is the world’s largest continually conducted health survey. The questionnaire is available in both English and Spanish. Data from the survey is used to help with tracking health objectives, planning health programs, implementing activities for preventing disease and health promotion, and monitoring trends at the state and national level. There are many published studies describing analyses of BRFSS data and use of the questions for various research investigations.
